Custom Log Home Construction 01

Introduction
Bass Country Homes offers a Wide Array of Custom, as well as, Predesigned Homes and Services. We Specialize in the Construction and Design of Custom Log and Log/Frame Homes, usually Custom Designed in our office by our Customers, with a little help from us, to Their Specifications. The Pinewood Series of Predesigned Homes have become a Very Popular, Well Constructed, Moderately Priced Alternative, to the Higher Price Range of Custom Homes.

In the Majority of cases, our Custom Log, Frame, or Hardi-board Siding Floorplans serve as a Guideline for our Customers. The Majority of our Customers take Advantage of our Custom Design Capabilities and, with a little bit of help from us, Design their Home, Exactly to Their Own Specifications. The Custom Home is then built by us, to Their Exact Specifications.

The Pinewood Series of Predesigned Homes offer a More Moderately Priced Home as an Alternative to the Higher Price Range of Custom Homes. Customers May Choose from the Standard Four Floorplans Available in the Pinewood Series. Customers May Select Floor Coverings, Kitchen Counter Tops, and Bath Vanity Tops, However, Structural and Design Changes are Not Available in the Pinewood Series of Predesigned Homes.

Our Custom Log Homes are Custom Designed and Built from Scratch by Us. We Specialize in Custom “Turn-Key” Work. We do not use Log Home Kits or “Pre-Cut Packages”. Our Lumber comes Direct from Our Mill in Random Lengths, and Is Cut, Caulked, and Spiked On the Job Site, according to all Custom Plans and Specifications. All Custom Log Home Interiors are Pine, Spruce, Fir, Aspen Wood, or if desired, Sheetrock. All of Our Cabinetry is Solid Wood, Custom Designed and Built by Us, to Individual Plans and Specifications.

Our Design Capabilities allow us to Interchange Plans ie. Hardi-board Plans can be Converted to Log Plans and Vice Versa. If You Have Your Own Set of Plans, We Can Convert that Set to Any Type of Home You May Desire, We are Not Locked Into Any Particular Plan or Construction Type.

Design Stage
The Construction Process Generally Begins Here with the Selection and Design of Your Custom Log Home. We Generally Never Build Two Homes Alike. The Majority of Our Customers Usually will Either Modify One of Our Existng Plans to Meet Their Individual Needs, or They will Require A Custom Design from Scratch, Using Their Design Ideas and Requirements. Either Way, All of Our Customers Do Take Advantage of Our Ability to Custom Design and Build, Their Own Custom Home, To Their Specifications and Requirements.

Slab Treatment
All Slab Foundations are Pre-treated for Termite Infestation Prior to the Acual Pouring of the Concrete. The Treatment Takes Place Either the Night Before the Slab is Poured, or the Morning of the Pour. Concrete Slabs are Poured Using Rebar Steel Reinforcement and 3,000 PSI, 5-Sack Concrete. Standard Slab Thickness is 4”over the Surface Floor Area. At This Time, 12” Steel J-Bolts are Placed in the Slab to Secure The Log Wall to the Foundation
